ProVerum lands $80M to scale non-surgical prostate care

ProVerum, a Dublin-based medtech company, has raised $80 million in Series B funding to accelerate development of its treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The round was led by MVM Partners, with participation from OrbiMed, the Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, Gilde Healthcare, Lightstone Ventures, Atlantic Bridge, and Enterprise Ireland.

At the core of ProVerum’s work is the ProVee® System, a tiny nitinol implant that gently reshapes the prostate to relieve urinary symptoms. Unlike surgery or lifelong medication, the device is inserted using a flexible delivery system that fits into tools urologists already use in their clinics. The procedure is designed to be quick, minimally invasive, and more patient-friendly than current options.

With this new capital, ProVerum is preparing to scale. The company plans to expand pivotal clinical trials, advance regulatory submissions in the U.S. and Europe, and lay the groundwork for commercial launch. Two new board members, Hugo HarrodDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → of MVM Partners and Dina ChayaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → of OrbiMed, will join to support this next phase.

For ProVerum, the funding marks a turning point: the move from promising clinical technology toward becoming a standard option in everyday urology. If successful, it could reshape care for millions of men worldwide who live with prostate enlargement — a condition that is common, chronic, and often underserved.
