Fast-Track Power: Eaton Buys Resilient for Scalable Electrification
Eaton (NYSE: ETN) has signed an agreement to acquire Resilient Power Systems , a U.S.-based developer of solid-state transformer (SST) technology optimized for DC applications such as EV charging, data centers, port electrification, and energy storage . The acquisition strengthens Eaton’s positioning in electrification and the energy transition space by enabling faster, cheaper deployment of high-power infrastructure.
Resilient’s SST-based depots dramatically reduce grid connection time—from weeks to days—and cut installation costs, making them highly attractive for fleet operators and hyperscale infrastructure. Eaton plans to scale this innovation using its global manufacturing capacity and field service reach to accelerate adoption.
The deal, expected to close in Q3 2025 , follows Eaton’s broader M&A strategy to expand in high-growth energy segments. While financial terms weren’t disclosed, the acquisition aligns with Eaton’s shift toward software-defined and service-based power infrastructure, offering recurring revenue potential through aftermarket and long-term system support.
