What they're building

Clucky is an iPhone alarm clock that refuses to shut up until you've earned it — silencing the alarm means completing a 'mission' like solving maths problems, doing push-ups, walking, or using the camera and AI to hunt down objects of a set colour. It layers on stats via a weekly 'Rooster Report' and social accountability through shared groups called a 'Nest' or 'Flock'.

Why now

The snooze button is losing its grip as people look for friction-based tools that force behaviour change rather than nudge it, and on-device camera AI now makes physical wake-up tasks genuinely enforceable. Clucky bets that waking up is a habit problem, not a hardware one.

The backstory

The app was built by solo founder Adrian Angelo Abelarde for the chronic snoozers who mute alarms half-asleep — the company's fix is to make turning off the alarm involved enough that you're properly awake by the time you succeed.

Why this team

Details on the founder's background are thin, but Clucky is a shipped, focused product: a clear thesis, a freemium model already running through the App Store, and 'Clucky Pro' as a route to revenue from day one.
