Shanghai Union Technology Corporation, known as UnionTech, is an industrial 3D printing systems provider established in 2000. UnionTech was founded by Ma Jinsong, who serves as the general manager and has been instrumental in navigating the company from its early stages to a significant market position. The company's core product offering is its line of SLA printers, which are known for producing highly accurate parts with excellent surface finish. It has expanded its technology portfolio to include Digital Light Processing (DLP), Selective Laser Melting (SLM), and Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM). A distinguishing feature of UnionTech's hardware is its open design philosophy, which allows customers to use third-party materials, providing flexibility and potential cost savings. The firm also develops its own proprietary software, such as Polydevs for data preparation and Unionfab ONE for print management, to create a seamless workflow for its users. In 2015, UnionTech established a subsidiary, Synthestic, to focus on the research and development of high-performance photopolymer resins.
