Strikerz Inc., operating under the publisher XTEN Limited, is the development studio behind the free-to-play football video game, UFL. Founded in 2016 by CEO Eugene Nashilov, the international gaming company has grown to over 200 employees with a vision to challenge the long-standing duopoly in the football simulation market. Development of UFL began in 2016, with the game being officially announced in August 2021 and built on Unreal Engine 5. The project has attracted significant financial backing, notably securing over $40 million in a 2023 funding round from a group of investors that includes football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who also serves as a brand ambassador.

UFL is positioned as a direct competitor to established titles like EA Sports FC, differentiating itself with a "fair-to-play" philosophy. This core principle emphasizes a skill-first approach, deliberately avoiding pay-to-win mechanics where player success is tied to in-game spending. The business model is centered on being free-to-play, generating revenue through optional in-game purchases for cosmetic items, such as player card skins, and in-game currencies that can be used in the transfer market. However, the model also incorporates mechanics to ensure fairness, such as requiring players to earn reputation points through gameplay to acquire top-tier players.

The primary product, UFL, allows players to build and manage their own football clubs from a database of over 5,000 licensed professional footballers, thanks to a partnership with FIFPro. Players compete in a global online league with a division-based matchmaking system designed to pair them with opponents of a similar skill level. The game offers various modes, including ranked and unranked online matches, 2v2 and 3v3 co-op, offline play, and special events. Gameplay is designed to be accessible while rewarding tactical knowledge. The game launched for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 5, 2024, with a PC version planned for the first half of 2025, and a mobile version is also in development.
