The core of TympaHealth's business is the Tympa Platform, the first all-in-one, handheld device that combines three essential functions: high-definition digital otoscopy for imaging the ear canal, microsuction for wax removal, and a hearing screener. This portable system allows a broad range of healthcare professionals, not just ENT specialists, to perform comprehensive ear and hearing assessments in a single 30-minute appointment. The device is designed for use in various community-based settings, including pharmacies, audiology clinics, primary care offices, and assisted living facilities, thereby decentralizing care from hospitals.

The business model centers on providing this integrated hardware and AI-enabled software to healthcare providers. Data from examinations is captured in a single digital hearing health record stored on the Tympa Cloud. This enables seamless sharing of information between patients, providers, and specialists, and facilitates remote consultations for more complex cases. The company has established partnerships with major healthcare providers like the NHS, Boots Hearingcare, Bupa, and Sonova. Following a successful $8 million seed round in February 2022 and a $23 million Series A round in April 2023 led by Octopus Ventures, TympaHealth is expanding its services from the UK into Europe and the United States.
