The Goodsystem, established in May 2016 by CEO Cho Myeong-hwan (Matthew Cho), is a South Korean company specializing in advanced thermal management solutions for the semiconductor industry. Initially, the company focused on copper-graphite materials after acquiring the business division from MK-subsidiary. However, The Goodsystem shifted its focus to developing a higher-performance material, leading to the successful commercialization of a copper-diamond composite material with a thermal conductivity of 1000 W/mK. This breakthrough positions the company as a key domestic producer in a market previously reliant on imports.

The company's core products are high-performance heat spreaders and substrates designed for semiconductor packages. These components are critical for dissipating heat in high-power electronics. The Goodsystem offers several product lines, including 'arCuDia', which utilizes the flagship copper-diamond composite, and 'SbS' (Strain-balanced Structure) products. These materials are engineered to provide superior thermal conductivity and a low coefficient of thermal expansion, addressing the demanding requirements of applications such as 5G/6G wireless communication, electric vehicles (EVs), artificial intelligence (AI), and high-performance CPUs.

The Goodsystem operates on a B2B business model, supplying its specialized thermal management components to global technology firms. The company has engaged in national research and development projects related to compound semiconductors and thermal materials. To accelerate its growth and market penetration, The Goodsystem has actively sought investment. In 2023, it secured a Series A funding of 3 billion KRW, and by April 2024, it had raised a total of 10 billion KRW. A recent funding round of 7 billion KRW involved follow-on investments from existing backers like Mirae Asset Venture Investment and BSK Investment, as well as a significant 6 billion KRW strategic investment from a Japanese semiconductor company.
