Following a positive Pre-Investigational New Drug (Pre-IND) meeting with the FDA in March 2025, the company has a clearer regulatory path to advance PTX-252 into clinical trials. The company has secured significant funding to advance its pipeline, including a €17.3 million Series A financing round in 2022, which comprised equity from investors like Oost NL, government innovation grants, and project financing from Hyloris Pharmaceuticals. This funding is intended to complete the development of its lead products and prepare for regulatory submissions in the U.S. and Europe. To support its commercialization strategy, Pleco established a U.S. subsidiary, Pleco Therapeutics USA, Inc., in New Jersey.
