NinaMED Pty Ltd is an Australian privately-held medical device company established in May 2026 to develop and commercialize a treatment for overactive bladder (OAB). Headquartered in Melbourne, the company operates under an exclusive global license from the Toronto-based EBT Medical, Inc. to advance the NiNA System®. Upon its establishment, NinaMED announced it had secured US$13.75 million in financing led by SPRIM Global Investments (SGI). This capital is intended to accelerate the product's clinical development, support the path toward an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) application, and expand the firm's operations in Australia. The company is led by a newly appointed Board of Directors with experience in the medical device and healthcare sectors, chaired by Ian Meredith. NinaMED was specifically formed to bring the NiNA System® to the global market, targeting an estimated 550 million patients suffering from OAB with a drug-free alternative. The core product, the NiNA System®, is a non-invasive, wearable neuromodulation device designed for at-home use. The therapy works by using proprietary technology to activate the saphenous nerve, a sensory nerve located in the upper calf. This patient-centric design allows for convenient treatment sessions aimed at delivering significant and persistent reduction in OAB symptoms without pharmaceuticals. The underlying technology was discovered and patented at the University of Toronto by Professor Paul Yoo, a co-founder of EBT Medical. The NiNA System® is currently in a clinical development phase and is not yet approved for commercial sale.
