The company operates on a dual B2C revenue model, offering a free mobile app with core features and a premium web-based application called Medly Exams for full exam paper practice and personalized insights. The platform's features include AI-predicted exam papers tailored to specific exam boards, real-time marking and feedback, adaptive questions, and visual tools to track progress. Its architecture utilizes multiple specialized AI models and incorporates safety mechanisms to prevent hallucinations and inappropriate content. By February 2025, the platform had reached over 30,000 monthly active users.

The company is backed by notable institutional partners, including UCL, Innovate UK, Microsoft, and Google, which have provided grants and credits. In February 2025, Medly AI announced it had secured £1.7 million in a seed funding round led by Eka Ventures with participation from Ada Ventures to expand its operations. Medly AI has also formed a partnership with m2r Education, a UK-based recruitment and tutoring provider, to expand its global reach.
