Intalus is a materials technology firm founded in 2019 and headquartered in Ashburn, Virginia. The company engineers advanced hybrid materials by fundamentally altering the structure of metals. Its patented process uses waveform energy, such as lasers, to infuse ceramic properties directly into a metal substrate. This creates a new, integrated material architecture rather than a simple surface coating, thereby eliminating the risks of delamination and the need for reapplication. The development of its technology was accelerated through the use of machine learning.
