About Ingenostrum

Established in 2009 by Santiago Rodríguez Agúndez, Ingenostrum, which rebranded to Nostrum Group in July 2025, operates at the intersection of critical digital infrastructure and renewable energy. Initially focused on developing large-scale renewable energy projects for third parties, the company has successfully developed over 10 GW of solar projects across Spain, Latin America, the USA, and Asia. Rodríguez Agúndez, who has over 20 years of experience in the sector and studied civil engineering, guided the firm's evolution from a project developer to an independent operator and investor in its own assets.

The firm has strategically shifted its business model to become an Independent Power Producer (IPP) and a key developer of green data centers. This evolution was marked by a €25 million Series B fundraising round in December 2023, led by Andera Partners, aimed at accelerating the construction of its photovoltaic (PV) project portfolio and expanding its data center and Power-to-X initiatives. The company's headquarters are in Seville, Spain, with additional offices in Madrid, Cáceres, and internationally in Brazil.

Under the Nostrum Group identity, the business is structured into two main divisions: Nostrum Data Center and Nostrum New Energies. Nostrum Data Center focuses on designing, developing, and operating sustainable and scalable data centers for clients including IT enterprises, cloud providers, and hyperscalers. A key project is the planned 300MW Nostrum Evergreen data center near Badajoz, with construction starting in 2026. Nostrum New Energies concentrates on renewable energy development, storage solutions, and other projects supporting decarbonization, such as green hydrogen. The company's approach involves integrating its data centers directly with green energy solutions, aiming to create carbon-neutral facilities. Revenue generation has transitioned from solely third-party project development to also include direct investment, construction, and operation of its own energy parks and data center colocation services.
