Goodmail Systems, Inc. was a privately-held company founded in 2002 by Richard Gingras and Daniel Dreymann. The company aimed to improve the security and reliability of email communication.

Richard Gingras, a seasoned internet executive with experience at Apple and as a founding VP of the broadband provider @Home Network, brought a wealth of knowledge to the venture. His background in emerging digital media, dating back to 1979, shaped the company's direction. He served as the CEO and chairman of Goodmail Systems.

Goodmail Systems developed a service called CertifiedEmail, which acted as a system for authenticating emails. The service was designed to help consumers easily identify legitimate messages and protect them from phishing and online fraud. The business model involved charging commercial emailers a small fee, typically a quarter of a cent, to have their messages marked as "certified." This allowed their emails to bypass spam filters and be more visible to recipients. The company provided its service to large email providers.

The company raised a total of $45 million in funding over four rounds from investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, DCM Ventures, and Emergence Capital. However, Goodmail Systems is no longer an active company.
