Entire.io is building a developer platform designed for the era of AI, where humans and AI agents can collaborate to build and ship software. The company was announced on February 10, 2026, by its CEO, former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke. The launch was supported by a landmark $60 million seed funding round at a $300 million valuation, led by Felicis, with participation from Madrona, M12, Basis Set Ventures, and others.

The company's vision addresses a fundamental shift in software development, where the massive volume of code generated by AI agents is outpacing human capacity to review and understand it. Entire's platform is based on three main components. The first is a git-compatible database that versions not just source code, but also the intent, constraints, and reasoning behind it. The second is a universal semantic reasoning layer that facilitates coordination between multiple AI agents. The third is an AI-native user interface designed for efficient agent-to-human collaboration, enabling developers to review and deploy numerous changes daily.

As its first product, Entire released an open-source Command Line Interface (CLI) tool called Checkpoints. This tool integrates with Git to automatically capture the context and reasoning from AI agent sessions during each commit. It records the full session, including prompts and transcripts, creating a searchable history that links agent-generated code to its original intent. This feature provides traceability and a shared memory for agents to coordinate their work. Initially, the CLI supports agents like Anthropic's Claude Code and Google's Gemini, with plans to extend support to all major agents.

Entire operates as a remote-first, globally distributed company. At its launch, the team consisted of 15 employees with experience from developer tool companies like GitHub and Atlassian, with plans to expand the engineering team to over 30. The business model is expected to follow a typical open-source approach, offering most platform functions for free while providing paid hosted services with additional features.
