Nekkanti, who serves as CEO, conceived the company with the vision of leading the privatization of India's space industry, an idea he incubated while pursuing a dual-degree Master's in Space Engineering in Europe. His journey in space technology began at age 19, contributing to India's first student nano-satellite project, SRMSAT.

These funds are earmarked for the development of a new 280,000-square-foot spacecraft manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.

The platforms range from the P-DoT CubeSat (1-24 kg) to the P-30 NanoSat and the P-90 MicroSat, capable of accommodating payloads up to 500 kg. A key offering is the company's proprietary satellite orbital deployers (DSOD), which have been successfully space-qualified through missions with the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The company has achieved significant milestones, including becoming the first Indian private company to secure an order for space-grade solar arrays and the first to have privately-built satellites, Thybolt-1 and Thybolt-2, authorized by IN-SPACe and successfully deployed into orbit. Its upcoming LEAP-1 mission, a commercial hosted payload service, is scheduled to launch on a SpaceX Falcon 9, demonstrating its global reach.
