This strategic move was designed to leverage Chronos's specialization in neuropsychiatry alongside TheraCryf's focus on oncology and neurodevelopmental disorders.

Chronos has a history of collaboration within the pharmaceutical industry. A notable partnership involved acquiring three preclinical development programs from a subsidiary of Shire, which also became an equity investor in Chronos. The company's business model is centered on advancing its programs to generate compelling proof-of-concept data, with the ultimate goal of partnering with larger pharmaceutical companies for late-stage clinical development and commercialization. The leadership team included CEO Dr. Huw Jones, who has over 30 years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors and became CEO of the parent company, TheraCryf, following the acquisition.
