About Attovia

Attovia Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing a pipeline of biotherapeutics focused on immune-mediated diseases. The company was spun out of Alamar Biosciences in June 2023, launching with a $60 million Series A financing led by Frazier Life Sciences. Attovia was co-founded by its CEO Tao Fu, a venture partner at Frazier with over 25 years of leadership experience at companies like Zai Lab and Bristol-Myers Squibb, alongside Hangjun Zhan (CTO), Zaneta Odrowaz (CBO), Petter Veiby, and David Bellovin.

The company's core technology is the proprietary ATTOBODY™ platform, which engineers small, biparatopic nanobodies—biologics that can bind to two different sites on a single target molecule. This dual-binding approach results in ultra-high affinity and specificity, enabling the development of medicines for difficult-to-drug targets like G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). The platform's modularity allows for the creation of multi-specific drugs with tunable half-lives, potentially leading to greater efficacy, faster patient response, and improved safety profiles compared to traditional antibody therapies.

Attovia's business model centers on leveraging the ATTOBODY™ platform to develop and commercialize a portfolio of first-in-class or best-in-class therapeutics. Its revenue generation will depend on the successful clinical development and subsequent marketing of these drug candidates, or through strategic partnerships and licensing agreements. The company has successfully raised significant capital, including a $105 million Series B in May 2024 and a $90 million Series C in April 2025, to fund its operations. Its lead programs include ATTO-1310, an anti-IL31 biologic for chronic pruritus, and ATTO-3712, a bispecific anti-IL13 x IL31 candidate for atopic dermatitis.
