The acquisition was a strategic move for Eagle to expand its acute care and hospital product portfolio, integrating Acacia's commercialized assets into its existing sales infrastructure. Following the acquisition, Acacia Pharma operates as a subsidiary of Eagle Pharmaceuticals.
